ABOUT THE PLATE
The hand-gilded side plate shows a meticulously hand-drawn map of the Central London area. The map includes a wealth of places of historical interest such as Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. In addition, it shows some of the more recent additions to the capital’s panorama, including the London Eye and BT Tower. Taking us into the XXI century, the map also features the colossal skyscrapers that now preside over the historic City of London. For those who follow fashion, Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and Regent Street also feature. We could continue to list all the sights, but there is something for everyone in this remarkably detailed map.
